 | Dear Mano Family: We are saddened and we grieve with you at Sister Mano's passing, but we know that you know that she is yet alive and living in a better place free from all pain and suffering and joyfully reunited with her loved ones who preceded her. We know that you know that she is still yours, and that you are still hers, and that she is already eagerly looking forward to being joyfully reunited with each one of you forever. | We were saddened to learn of your dear mother's passing. My mother, Arba Duncan, called today to tell us she had seen the obituary in the paper. Arba worked with Michi in the temple for many years. We knew her as Ken and Carolyn's funloving and humble mother. We will cherish our memories of her and her wonderful family. Best wishes to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. You all have a wonderful heritage to uphold. |

| Thanks for your thoughts. A lot of tears have been shed, but she was ready to go, so it's good for her. 91 years is a long time to last, but for some of the grandkids and great-grandkids they didn't get to be with her very long at all. | What a wonderful lady "Mano Shimai" was! I was privledged to have her as a companion when serving a mission in Nagoya, Japan in 1974-75. We taught her how to ride a bike and she could keep up with all the 19 year old elders and 21 year old sisters. She was a great cook, and we all just loved her! What an inspiration she was to us. | Dear Richie and other Mano children, I hope you will forgive me for calling you "Richie" now that we've grown up, but that's what I remember you by. Your beautiful mother worked with my mother in the primary organization in West Bountiful for several years. My mother, Elva, couldn't say enough about Michi. My mom loved her very much.Your whole family was an inspiration to the rest of West Bountiful. I was so sad to see you move away. I saw nothing but goodness and kindness from all of you and I know that it was your mother's love and leadership that inspired all of you to excel in your lives.
